PEDRALI at the Antico Lavatoio by OLOS ATELIER and Raffaele Orrù during the 12th edition of the Landscape Festival in Bergamo, 8 – 25 September 2022
On 8 September 2022, the ‘Landscape Festival – I Maestri del Paesaggio’ event was inaugurated in Bergamo, bringing the best international landscape and landscaping designers to the city The theme of Green Square 2022 is ‘Forgotten Landscape’, designed by internationally renowned planner and plant designer Cassian Schmidt and students from Weihenstephan – Triesdorf University. OLOS ATELIER participates together with the main sponsor of the event, Pedrali SpA, with the project ‘Verso le origini’, realised at the Antico Lavatoio in Via Mario Lupo, a place guarded by the walls of Bergamo Alta as part of a precious weave of the historical fabric of the city, enclosing its memory and beauty. Verso le Origini is an installation created to experience spaces by enhancing the ancient vocation of this place and evoking its identity, through a contemporary interpretation, in which Nature becomes the protagonist with the support of systems and strategies aimed at protecting and managing ecosystems in a sustainable manner. The design of space is thus transformed into a source of well-being for people and contributes to the increase of biodiversity in urban environments.
