Strategy for public spaces

Green and open spaces play an important role in improving the quality of life within the urban fabric, not only environmentally, but also socially, economically and culturally. Proper planning and management of these spaces allows the community to benefit from valuable ecosystem services such as cooling and climate management, improved air quality, noise absorption, increased biodiversity and water filtration through permeable soils. In this context, the drafting of guidelines to be offered to public administrations becomes an important consultation and information tool to help them deal with these issues.
